A human born within the small bastion known as Altera. A nation surrounded by mountainous regions and resides in the farthest section of the Northern Regions. Known for its long winters and barrier mountains, the nation itself contained a vast treasury of resources. From fossil fuels, to even rich ores that could provide the nation for numerous years. It also was the forerunner ofr Mana based technology, alongside research regarding the Dimensional Zones.It was considered the final stronghold for the Black Phoenix prior to its collapsed in the Great War. Although the organization was destroyed, its relics and lost technology could still be found within the labyrinth of abandoned facilities and underground networks that remain hidden to this day. Some of which were reactivated by Altera for their development of technology and military defenses against foreign invasion.

Although Altera was an independent nation, several factions desired its vast resources for their own selfish greed. To ensure it could survive and handle the inevitable conflicts, the nation itself began to adapt the same Mana based technology utilized by the Black Phoenix. It had become self-sustaining, and did not require the assistance of foreign aid. The nation also suffered several invasion attempts, yet the aforementioned natural barriers and mana technology allowed them to repel enemies with superior advantages than them. However, the nation suffered a terrible curse. A curse left behind by the Black Phoenix. All Alterans who lived in the region after the liberation of its nation, were cursed by the Black Phoenix to have a limited lifespan. In contrast, all Alteran personnel, even ordinary civilians possess a higher physique and mana potential compared to the average magus. Morgan was no exception to this application. Yet, was born with a frail construct compared to the rest of his generation.He would live a bustling life. Aspiring to become an investigator, the young man would often watch television and often play with the other children in crime cases. Often he would win, whether he played the role of the criminal, or the detective. Due to the short lifespans of the Alteran people, they often had to work hard to survive in this nation. Even at the age of six, Morgan was often working with the family business. Usually with cleaning, or even helping his father with his workshop. He studied hard in order to achieve his dreams. Aside from standard education, there was never a moment of respite aside from hanging out with his friends. This would all occur when Altera was under attack by an unknown threat.The invasion of the Abyss occurred when the 33rd inheritor reactivated one of the seals left behind by the Black Phoenix. Monsters of unknown origin, dark entities that emerged from the old ruins and labyrinths the Black Phoenix left behind. Despite advances in technology, the Abyss were resilient to the concept of magic itself. Even ordinary weapons only displayed minimal damage to their regenerative structures. The resulting efforts resulted in heavy casualties during the initial stages of the conflict.It was around this time that a project was conducted in order to combat The Abyss properly. A project that resulted in the abduction of children throughout the nation. A futile attempt in their survival, and for humanity as well.

Morgan was among the individual's kidnapped for the project. During the initial conflicts, it was discovered some Alteran Personnel who inherited Dimensional Energy were capable of harming the Abyss. It can be assumed they are related to the Dimensional Monsters that once participated in the Great War. However, the number of users were insufficient to combat the threat. The Alteran Government decided to create a program to artificially create Phase users of their own. Although volunteers were recruited, the short lifespan of the average Alteran meant they couldn't conduct the experiments out of fear those who participated would die before the procedure can be conducted on them. Naturally, they decided to abduct the children of Altera for their own usage. Those under the age of 10 were taken during the evacuation of towns or cities. After all, it's common for some to be separated from their families in the midst of a battle. Morgan would end up being among the group after his home was invaded by the Abyss.After his abduction, Morgan was forced to participate in a variety of rigorous training protocols. From hand-to-hand combat, to learning how to handle Mana technology to enhance their survivability. Even combating others were common practice. This procedure lasted six months, the minimum time required before they can proceed to the next phase of their plan. During that time, Morgan showed potential as a mage, and despite his physique, had an overall frail constitution compared to the others. He can inflict heavy damage, yet his body cannot handle any physical damage inflicted by his enemies. After the months had passed, it was time for Morgan to undergo the procedures to transform him into an artificial Phase User.The procedure involved several methods. The first was the injection of the Abyssal Blood into the body. The Alteran Army had managed to procure several Abyssal creatures of significant value to harvest the blood necessary for the experiment. The one Morgan received was one that specialized in multi-purpose combat. Once this was done, the subject would be exposed to significant concentrations of Dimensional Energy. Allowing for the body to acclimate to the sudden restructuring of their composition. However, one method was considered fatal should the host fail to survive. The surgical procedure where they receive not only the internal implants to generate and manifest their own dimensional energy. However, the problem is how it affects the mana of a living being. Since Dimensional Energy and mana do not synergize due to the Dimensional Energy repelling it. The host must undergo a Blood Reconstruction Surgery. This must occur around the same time as the implants. The hosts body will naturally attempt to reject the Dimensional Energy. Due to the blood of the abyss already being injected, it mitigates the strain placed upon the user. The heart must be monitored since it is the source of a persons mana. During which, the surgery will attempt to bond the Dimensional Energy with the mana to allow for the implants to then be implanted onto the host. The survival rate for these procedures were low, often resulting in heart failure before the implants could be completed.Around 61% of those who underwent this procedure would perish. 35% of those who survived suffered madness or were crippled due to their body being unable to properly bond with the Abyss and were disposed of. However, those who survived, including Morgan would become the basis for the establishment of the Altera Revenant Order. A unit dedicated to fighting the Abyss and those who threatened Altera from outside. Once that was done, these children would then undergo further training to utilize their abilities and learn how to apply it in combat. Some would also receive further education to specialize in certain fields outside of military combat.By the age of 14, Morgan and the Order would participate in a variety of battles. The conflicts always resulted in the necessity to deploy overwhelming forces. The order members would hunt the strongest Abyssal creatures, while the soldiers fought the common ones. Some resulted in victories, others resulted in defeat. However, Altera was gradually pushing the Abyss further from their lands.With each battle, the Alteran Revenant Order slowly gained recognition. Yet the problem arose with those who received the blood of the Abyss. It turned out despite their combat prowess the individuals were given. They were highly vulnerable to the mental corruption whenever one wields its power. This would result in the subject corroding and transforming into an Abyssal monster. Although some were capable of controlling it, it meant in the event one would succumb to corrosion, the Order were tasked with eliminating the fallen member before they become a threat and jeopardize the populace. Some campaigns failed due to one of them falling to corruption and turning to the side of the Abyss.To worsen the situation, foreign nations have attempted to exploit Alteras' crisis by launching several invasion attempts onto their lands. Even capturing some strategic locations required in their effort to fight the Abyss. The intent being to assist Altera at the expense of gaining access to some of its vast resources. Morgan specialized in the Intelligence network. Since he spent his earlier childhood working for his family, Morgan knew how to operate certain equipment and even learnt to develop his own encryption device for the Order to use. This allowed him to obtain information regarding any outside threats, allowing for the Order and even himself to respond to their aggression. Since the Order did not wear any outfits or uniforms that were connected to Altera, it meant it can handle foreign threats without causing political problems for their nation since it is considered an independent faction from Altera.

The situation finally reached its end when the Remnants of the Black Phoenix revealed themselves to the world. This happened around the same time Remina fell to their invasion. With the Black Phoenix re-surging, the 33rd inheritor would deploy their forces using the same technology Altera had adapted. Although Altera could utilize the same technology, it lacked the countermeasures to prevent the remnants from entering key locations and capturing them without giving them time to respond. The Revenant Order would be targeted by the Black Phoenix themselves. The alarming loss rate meant it was losing more order members than it can replaced. Eventually, even the facility where the order was created was raided. Resulting in the cancellation of any further artificial users. Morgan knew Altera was going to fall. Despite their efforts, within six years his service, the capital and final line of defense would fall to the enemy.The Fall of Altera was the final battle for the defense of his homeland. He would be responsible for evacuating the survivors from his homeland. Despite the fierce abyssal onslaught, the Alteran forces resisted with each step the enemies took. Even when Black Phoenix soldiers arrived to overwhelm their defences. The Revenants continued their resistance. Some even transforming into monsters to take as many as they could with them. In a final attempt, the 33rd inheritor personally led an attack against the defense force. The Alteran Order had long since awaited for this day. All of them desiring revenge for the one who orchestrated the launch of the abyss. Morgan would be involved in this fight. The order fought the inheritor with everything they had. The enemy managing to kill several high ranking members. Even when some corroded, they were subsequently dealt with. It is only when Morgan finally transformed would he reveal that the form he took was akin to an inheritor of the Great War. In reality, he was the only one who survived compared to the others who received the same blood during surgery. He was barely able to control it, using it to kill the inheritor whilst suffering severe wounds in the process. Despite killing the inheritor, the order was forced to evacuate as their defenses had fallen due to the assault launched by the Inheritor.The fall of Altera saw the loss of 70% of its population. 40% of the Order were lost during the conflict. With an unknown number of civilians and personnel going missing during the evacuation operations. Yet, they managed to survive and were scattered throughout the other regions as refugees. Despite their losses, the order solemnly swore to continue its fight against The Abyss. It's members scattering into small units to act independently to minimize their overall casualties.

Following the separation, Morgan decided to open an Agency to help investigate the abnormal and handle cases that were considered difficult to solve. Something he decided to do since it was something he originally inspired. The Agency would be used as a front for his activities against the Abyss. Since the Abyss can spread to regions outside of Altera, the Agency was used to gather intel regarding any activities, including the current state of Altera. Aside from the failed attempts by other factions, the order have yet to progress with their efforts. And with each passing year, their numbers began to decline due to their short lifespan. Some succumbing to corruption, while others falling prey to the Abyss. Despite running it on his own, he made a reputation for solving cases. Even handling the occasional abnormals that tend to wander where he was investigating.At the age of 27, Morgan began to noted something was wrong with his body. Often he found himself vomiting or coughing up blood. Black blood to be precise. He knew the corruption rate had reached a certain threshold. And considering the lifespan of an Alteran personnel, Morgan knew he only had three years at best. If the corruption rate increases further, he would only have a year before he loses his sanity and corrode.He ended up taking the blood of the abyss within him. Despite all their efforts, Altera was destroyed and their inevitable deaths will come soon. He knew his life was coming to an end, yet he never gave up on life itself. If there remained a possibility of reclaiming the lost nation from the abyss and the dark focus that occupy its once vast region. He is willing to burn the last year's of his life to dedicate the restoration of Altera and avenge all who sacrificed their lives in the war.Upon hearing reports of an organization involved with the abyss. Morgan has decided to volunteer as part of a special unit designed to hunt down the abyss that threaten the other regions. Searching for even the slightest traces, he cannot allow them to spread and repeat the tragedy that befell his homeland.

Rather carefree and easygoing. Morgan is the type that prefers to display a friendly attitude. A person whom many can get along with. He also displays a curiosity side, always showing interest in concepts and other fields that he has yet to understand. Often this dedicates him to learning until he can grasp the knowledge to its fullest potential. Yet this friendly attitude is often bordered by maintaining a distance. A distance that ensures his relations with others is nothing more than friends.

When it comes to his role as a Hunter, and as a member of the Order. The Revenant will not hesitate to eliminate his enemies. Despite his casual expressions, he is rather cold-hearted and ruthless against those who oppose the Order and harm those close to him. He is rather meticulous, always investigating the area, alongside what enemies they might encounter. He does not take pride in toying with his opponents. He acts without hesitation, knowing any delays will result in severe consequences.This also extends to his hobby as an informant and information broker. He will always ensure he conceals his identity whenever he meets a client. Always obscuring any traces that can lead back to him. He is cautious to the extent if he is dragged into his clients affairs, he will not hesitate to eliminate them.

Despite his hatred against the Demons and the Abyss, the Revenant does not indiscriminately massacre them. Although his initial reactions are one of distrust, he will only judge based on their disposition and actions. This is due to his travels and running an Agency. Even during his service, the mage knew how others can be redeemed despite being corrupted or afflicted by the Abyss. Even demons can be seen as friends should they not threaten humanity as a whole. He is willing to make exceptions, so long as their alignments do not oppose each other. Despite this, he still shows distrust when confronting one upon first contact.

Morgan detaches himself from humanity. A reclusive nature due to his status as an Abyss Hunter and an Alteran with a limited lifespan. Morgan is fearful of attachments, yet longs to establish a kinship with others. This also stems from his childhood. Being confined to a facility, witnessing his hometown, and even his nation be destroyed by his enemies. Most of his actions where he only maintains a border is due his fears. Knowing he will die soon, it's best if others don't become close to him. Not wanting them to suffer because of the inevitable fate all Alteran Personnel will experience in the end.

A modification of the Karma design used by the Kwazherian Federation. Originally meant for the Black Phoenix, Altera managed to procure surviving models and reversed engineered it to use their current Mana technology. The Karma were designed during the waning periods as a rapid deployment Interceptor with increasing losses of skilled pilots. The purpose of the Aircraft was solely on speed and firepower. Speed to outpace any existing Anti-Air missiles, and firepower capable of tearing an enemy Aircraft apart.Rather than the standard Mana Engine like the Zeri or Rita, the Karma models were given a Liquid-Fueled Mana source to enable a burst of immense speed within seconds of takeoff. This enabled it to reach its cruising speed rather swiftly compared to other jet fighters of its time. Alongside its heavy armament, the Karma were designed solely to intercept threats their standard Aircraft weren't able to reach in time. However, because of its speed and firepower, the armor on the Karma is relatively frail. Even when using the Volkran Armor, standard Anti-Air weapons are capable of tearing the Interceptor apart. Furthermore, the ammunition is severely limited. This forces the pilot to engage in close range or fire at least three shots. By Black Phoenix standards, it's short range meant it could only be deployed within Airfields or Carriers where high priority targets are at.Altera had modified the Aircraft with their own engine, further increasing the range and altitude. The armor was also upgraded at the cost of minimal speed reduction. Although limited in numbers, the Karma have been known to be piloted by skilled pilots. Ensuring their efficiency even when facing against superior models.

The most mass produced Aircraft manufactured by the Black Phoenix. Developed by a subsidiary of the Black Phoenix, the RXZ-4 Rita were designed solely to conduct bombing campaigns. Based on the doctrine implemented by the Fourth Einfallen Lord, a swift and efficient victory involves the complete destruction of the enemy infrastructure. To conduct this, strategic Air Supremacy were required to ensure the enemy cannot surmount a significant resistance in the skies. To further deny the enemy a fighting chance, the Rita models were capable of reaching insurmountable heights. Any Anti-Air weapons or enemy aircraft were incapable of hitting the bombers once they've reached the Thermosphere. However, due to radiation and other factors involving atmospheric pressure and temperature, the Rita can only maintain these heights for approximately forty minutes before it suffers engine damage. Once the limit is reached, it must return to approximately 400,000 meters for its systems to cool down for an hour before returning to its maximum altitude. Finally, due to the height it can reach, ordinary humans are unable to pilot these Aircraft's even with the special life support systems installed. Thus, only abnormals or artificial demons were able to utilize these bombers without straining their bodies to reach these absurd altitudes.Aside from its altitude, the Aircraft carries a variety of armaments to defend itself should the enemy actually reach their height. Armed with several 25mm autocannons, the design is based on the concept of self defense. To be able to fend off enemy Aircraft without heavy reliance of allied escorts. Although the concept itself worked during the early phases of the Great War, later countermeasures and other innovative designs rendered the concept obsolete due to the lack of armaments underneath the bomber itself. Alongside the presence of abnormals, the Black Phoenix ended up losing scores of Rita bombers during its failed Campaign in the Arctic Regions. Escorts were inevitably required to defend the bombers by attacking the enemy fighters before they can break through and attack the formation above them.Despite this, the Rita carried enough payload to conduct bombing runs that severely devastated the infrastructure of its enemies. From the destruction of factories, military installations, and even power plants, the amount of damage caused by them alongside their sheer numbers prevented their opponents from being able to launch a counterattack, nor could they rebuilt without the risk of another wave due to the bombers long range capabilities. This is what allowed their ground forces to easily defeat their opponents during the early phases of the Great War.With the decline of infrastructure and skilled pilots, the Rita bombers inevitably required human pilots to operate them. This resulted in their altitudes reaching a vulnerability to Anti-Air and enemy fighters. And with their inability to replace their best pilots, the Rita Bombers were escorted by beginners who have never fought in the skies before. Eventually, later models were modified to carry the RXY-7 Rakurai in a desperate attempt to alter the course of the Great War. When the Great War ended, some of the bombers would be captured by allied forces for research and development. Although a decent amount survived the war, most of them are currently under the control of the remnants. Even after years of its service, these bombers continued to uphold its reputation for its success in the Black Phoenix Doctrine of total Air Supremacy.Altera had managed to procure a significant amount of these Aircraft within their Air Force. Using them as an indication of its legacy even after the Great War had passed.
